The Philippine Board of Anesthesiology (PBA) respects and values data privacy rights. This Privacy Statement, hereafter referred to as “Statement”, explains how we collect, protect, use, and share information when you use the Anesthesia Digital Census (AENDICUS).

What We May Collect From You
The AENDICUS collects the following patient data: case number, last name initial, first name initial, gender, birth date, weight, case details including the following but not limited to co-morbidities, anesthetic technique, diagnosis, procedure done and critical events. This data will be logged by the users online and will be synchronized and saved on a secure cloud server.
How We Use Your Information
All information in the AENDICUS shall be solely used to achieve its legitimate purpose which is to evaluate trainees, and training institutions as well as to benchmark the practice of Anesthesiology in the Philippines without disclosing any form of identifiers of both patients and trainees. This information is not be divulged to other persons or entities which are not parties to its non-disclosure agreement.
Critical incidents logged in the AENDICUS are devoid of identifiers and inquiries regarding specific events cannot be provided by the AENDICUS.

How We May Share Your Information
The AENDICUS committee shall not give or provide access to any information received or generated in the course of utilizing the data to any unauthorized individuals and will use all resources and capabilities available to prevent any unauthorized access.
Information from the database shall not be reproduced in any form; hard copy, soft copy or electronic copy without the written consent of the training institution. Further, it shall restrict access only to persons duly authorized by PBA. Any changes in the authorized persons shall take effect/be implemented only upon approval by PBA.

How We Protect Your Information
The AENDICUS data shall be saved in a secure cloud server compliant with the recommended standards of the NPC and is handled and safeguarded in a manner that affords sufficient protection to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of or inadvertent access to such information.
How Long Do We Keep Your Information
The AENDICUS committee shall terminate access to the AENDICUS data in its possession upon demand by a training institution if upon determination by the training Institution that the committee does not require further access to such information.
